Extended & Specialist Therapy Sessions

Sometimes, having more time and space can help us understand ourselves and our relationships more deeply.

Alongside my regular counselling and psychotherapy appointments, I offer extended therapeutic sessions for individuals and couples who would benefit from additional time to explore their experiences.

These sessions are particularly suited to late-identified autistic and ADHD adults navigating identity, masking, emotional overwhelm, grief and relationship difficulties, as well as couples seeking to understand recurring patterns of conflict and disconnection.

Each session offers a compassionate, neurodivergent-affirming space tailored to your individual needs.

Understanding Myself After

Late Diagnosis

90-minute Extended Individual Session | £120

Discovering that you are autistic or have ADHD later in life can bring a mixture of relief, confusion, grief and a new understanding of your past experiences.

This extended therapeutic session offers additional time and space to explore what this discovery means for you.

Together, we can explore identity, masking, emotional overwhelm, self-acceptance and relationships, as well as the experience of looking back on your life through a different lens.

Whether you have received a formal diagnosis or are beginning to explore the possibility of being neurodivergent, this session provides a compassionate, neurodivergent-affirming space to develop a deeper understanding of yourself.

  • Masking and people-pleasing
  • Self-criticism and feelings of inadequacy
  • Emotional overwhelm and dysregulation

The Late-Discovery Relationship Intensive

120-minute Extended Couples Session | £300

Discovering that one or both partners are autistic or have ADHD later in life can bring new understanding, but also uncertainty, grief and questions about the relationship.

This extended therapeutic session offers couples additional time and space to explore how neurodivergence may influence communication, emotional responses, sensory needs and longstanding misunderstandings.

Together, we can begin to explore recurring relationship patterns, recognise each partner's individual experiences and develop a greater understanding of one another.

The session provides a compassionate, neurodivergent-affirming space where both partners' perspectives are valued.

Extended couples sessions are offered following an initial discussion to ensure this format is appropriate for your relationship and individual needs.

Breaking the Relationship Cycle

120-minute Extended Couples Session | £300

A focused, extended therapeutic session offering additional time and space to explore what happens between you when difficulties arise.

Understanding recurring patterns of conflict, misunderstanding and emotional disconnection.

  • Do you find yourselves having the same arguments over and over again, despite genuinely wanting things to be different?
  • Perhaps one partner feels unheard or rejected, while the other feels criticised, overwhelmed or misunderstood.
  • One of you may seek reassurance or connection, while the other withdraws or needs space, leaving you both feeling increasingly frustrated and disconnected.

For couples where one or both partners are autistic or have ADHD, differences in communication, emotional processing, sensory needs and responses to stress can sometimes contribute to these recurring patterns.

Over time, these experiences can lead to resentment, emotional exhaustion and a sense that you are no longer understanding one another.

Together, we can explore:

  • Recurring arguments and patterns of conflict
  • Differences in communication and emotional expression
  • Emotional overwhelm, shutdown and withdrawal
  • Feelings of rejection, criticism, or not being understood
  • How past experiences and attachment patterns may influence your responses
  • The impact of autism, ADHD and sensory differences on relationship dynamics
  • Ways to recognise unhelpful cycles and respond to one another with greater understanding

The Neurodivergent Relationship Reset

Two 90-minute Couples Sessions | £450

The Neurodivergent Relationship Reset offers a structured, two-session therapeutic experience for couples where one or both partners are autistic or have ADHD.

It provides additional time and space to explore recurring relationship difficulties, develop a deeper understanding of each other's experiences and consider ways of strengthening communication and connection.

Session One – Understanding Your Relationship

Our first 90-minute session focuses on exploring your relationship history, communication differences, emotional and sensory needs, and recurring patterns of misunderstanding or conflict.

We will consider how neurodivergence may influence your experiences as individuals and as a couple, recognising the strengths and challenges each partner brings to the relationship.

Session Two – Finding Ways Forward

Our second 90-minute session builds on our initial exploration, focusing on identifying adjustments and approaches that may support greater understanding, emotional safety and connection.

Together, we can explore communication strategies, boundaries, emotional regulation and ways of responding differently when familiar difficulties arise.

Both sessions are collaborative and neurodivergent-affirming, with space for each partner's perspective.

An initial suitability discussion is required before booking. The sessions can include breaks and adjustments to meet individual needs.
