Couples Counselling

Psychotherapy

"Therapy isn't about becoming someone different.

It's about understanding yourself with compassion, letting go of what no longer serves you, and creating the freedom to live the life you want."

Therapy that helps you understand yourself not just your symptoms

Are you overwhelmed with anxiety, trauma, relationship difficulties, loss, or painful life experiences?

Are you feeling stuck, rejected, abandoned and alone in your relationship?

You may have spent years coping, putting other people's needs first, or wondering why the same negative patterns keep repeating.

Therapy offers the opportunity to understand what is happening beneath the surface, so lasting change becomes possible.

Let's explore what is getting in the way of you living the life you want.

  • People Pleasing
  • Attachment issues
  • Relationship communication problems
  • Past resentments
  • Codependency
  • Intrusive thoughts
  • Disturbing flashbacks
  • Anxiety, Depression
  • Suspicion, intense jealousy
  • Extreme irritation or anger
  • Fear of rejection, abandonment issues
  • Addictions (Gambling, Alcohol, Porn, Sex, Food, etc.)

About Me

I am a trauma-informed Counsellor, Psychotherapist and Supervisor based in Manchester, offering therapy in person and online across the UK.

I work with adult individuals and couples experiencing emotional pain and distress due to trauma, violence, anxiety, depression, shame, relationship conflict and attachment issues.

I have an MA in Clinical Counselling from

the University of Chester.

I worked for several years in an

NHS Talking Therapy Service as a Clinical Counsellor.

I receive private referrals from both large and small businesses to work with their staff; I also accept self-referrals.

I offer a safe, non-judgmental and anti-discriminatory service to people of all cultural backgrounds, religious beliefs, and abilities. My work is LGBTQ+ and non-binary-affirming.

I am a specialist neurodivergent-affirming practitioner. I work with ADHD and Autistic couples and individuals, with and without a formal diagnosis.

My therapy room is based in Manchester City Centre.

My background

My background is in the Performing Arts and Education. I lectured in Contemporary Dance for several years before going on to manage a community arts organisation based in Greater Manchester. I then became a high school dance teacher and helped several schools achieve Performing Arts College Status.

After working through my own adverse childhood experiences and enjoying supporting students and artists at the start of their professional careers, a mid-life career change from Teacher to Therapist was a natural progression for me.

My intention as your therapist is to help you understand how your mind and nervous system have adapted to traumatic experiences and complex emotions. Together we explore the patterns, beliefs and conflicting inner parts that often operate outside of conscious awareness, shaping thoughts, feelings and impacting relationships. By developing insights, strengthening inner resources, and building resilience to help you move beyond surviving, towards living with greater clarity, confidence, authenticity and choice.
